Is a vascular surgeon, university professor, and hospital practitioner at the University Hospital Center of Bordeaux (CHU de Bordeaux). He specializes in the treatment of vascular diseases, including aortic aneurysms, vascular infections, and redo aortic surgery, combining high-level clinical expertise with innovative research activity. Professor Bérard works within the BioTis research unit (INSERM U1026), where he develops projects focused on the design of vascular prostheses, biomaterials, and tissue engineering solutions aimed at improving graft performance and patient outcomes.
